BEECHER- Due to the resignation of Kellie Ford, the Beecher Board of Education was tasked with filling the vacancy.
The board failed to do so.
The responsibility of the appointment was then moved to the GISD.
Three applicants applied: Monica Jackson, Charles Robinson and Sheila Thorn.
In the end, the GISD appointed Charles Robinson to fill Ford’s seat.
Robinson’s appointed seat will be up in 2024 as a partial term.
The next Beecher School Board meeting will take place June 7th at 6pm in the Administration building.
The public is encouraged to attend.
