The Genesee County Republican Party recently adopted a resolution confirming their commitment to the
principles laid out in the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Michigan Constitution, and the
Republican Party Platform. The resolution calls on all Republican elected officials, delegates, and supporters to
stand firm in defense of these founding principles.
“Our basic rights as Americans are under increasing attack each and every day,” said Jay Fedewa, Chair of the
Genesee County Republican Party. “When we see government officials intent on silencing political opponents
through any means necessary, restricting individual freedom of speech and association, and coordinated efforts
to restrict our foundational rights, this strikes at the core of what makes us Americans.”
The resolution also calls for all Genesee County Republicans to stand united against the principles, ideals, and
beliefs held by the Democrat Party. As has been increasingly seen in recent years, liberals will stop at nothing to
send the economy into a tailspin, pick corporate welfare winners and losers, stifle the free speech of those with
differing opinions and principles, restrict the right to self-defense, glamorize the taking of innocent lives of unborn
children at all stages of development, and weaponize government agencies to accomplish their political agenda.
“As we look ahead to 2024 and beyond, let’s continue to stay focused on our common goals as Republicans;
fighting to preserve our God-given rights, liberties, and freedoms for our children and grandchildren to enjoy,”
Fedewa said. “Join with us as Genesee County Republicans as we stand in unwavering support and defense of
America’s core founding principles as stated in the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the
Michigan Constitution.”
The Genesee County Republican Party meets the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM. Meeting details and
