GENESEE COUNTY MI- The district lines of the Genesee County Commission for the next ten years now falls into the lap of the Genesee County Apportionment Commission that is made up of County Treasurer Deb Cherry (D), Republican Chair Matt Smith (R), County Clerk John Gleason (D), Prosecutor David Leyton (D) and Democrat Chair Dan Moilanen (D).
According to state law, these individuals must serve on the Commission that will take new census data and use it to draw new district lines. Currently, Genesee County has nine County Commissioners.
The Commission will meet publicly with dates and times being announced soon.

What a great selection of people, while the majority are Democrats I see we have a log cabin Republican on the commission. I think matt will do a good job on it
