Citizens of Texas will no longer be required to wear a mask in public starting March 10th, and citizens of Mississippi will be free of Covid-19 restrictions starting tomorrow.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves are confident in their citizens ability to manage the virus responsibly on their own terms without forced restrictions.
Governor Reeves wrote on his Twitter: “We are listing all of our country mask mandates and business will be able to operate at full capacity without any state-imposed rules. Our hospitalizations and case numbers have plummeted, and the vaccine is being rapidly distributed. It is time!”
Businesses will still be allowed to maintain their own Covid-19 restrictions if they feel compelled. But restoring power to the people and moving forward is a top priority, especially since infection and death rates have always been less than 1% of any affected population.
