Two hundred thousand dollars sealed in air tight bags inside a Saginaw man’s luggage was confiscated before he could board a flight to Detroit from the MBS International Airport in Freeland on Thursday. Three cell phones were also taken.
Although there is no limit to how much money passengers can take aboard, the rental car the man returned appeared to have bullet holes in it and raised suspicion.
Police and FBI questioned the man before he was ultimately released. The money, however, is still being held until the man can prove how he legally obtained it.
