The U.S. Senate has confirmed the nomination of Genesee County Circuit Judge F. Kay Behm to be the next U.S District Court Judge for Michigan’s Eastern District, a monumental appointment from President Joe Biden that passed on Dec 6th in unanimous support among all senators voting and marks the conclusion of Governor Whitmer’s campaign pledge to install more diversity within government positions across Michigan’s judiciary system – with an added bonus: due to election rules stipulating new judges must stand for re-election after 4 years, residents can expect another chance soon enough!
