GRAND BLANC TWP- Angie Carr, a Republican, has filed to be the next County Commissioner of the 5th District. This district includes: Grand Blanc, Atlas and Goodrich.
Carr is a retired Registered Nurse and has a degree in Nursing. She worked at Hurley Medical Center.
She recently purchased land in the Grand Blanc Twp. and is currently building her own cosmetics business, a life long dream.
“As a former Nurse and current invested Grand Blanc Township Business Owner, I will bring needed experience to our county Health and financial decisions” said Carr.
Carr is focused on Health, Government overreach, backing the badge, overspending and human sex trafficking. She is also an Animal advocate and has rescues.
Carr is passionate about hitting the campaign trail and focusing on how she can rebuild trust in the seat that Mark Young has broken.
“For years, our Democrat County Commissioner has basically ran uncontested. The district is craving something new and views that represent them.”
Democrat Commissioner Mark Young held the seat but resigned abruptly months ago. County Clerk John Gleason has told the press it was a cover up as Young was involved in a sexual harassment case.
“No matter what happened with Young, it is time to turn the page and restore accountability and public trust to the 5th District”, Said Carr.
Carr says she is already hitting the doors and the campaign trail to earn the support of voters.
Carr is not related to current Grand Blanc Councilman Christopher Carr or Retired longtime County Clerk Michael J. Carr.
