The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan in Flint and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services are announcing the upcoming schedule for mobile food pantry stops to distribute foods rich in calcium, vitamin C, and iron. The selection is intended to help limit the effects of lead exposure and includes potatoes, sweet corn, cucumbers, and zucchini.
The project was originally started in 2016 and continues to provide nutritious food to Flint families. The distribution schedule can be found at the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan website and events are designated with “Flint Nutrition” in the header.
