Next Monday, August 15th Back to the Bricks kicks off with the Cruise N’ Car Show from 4-8pm at Birch Run Speedway; the first event in five days’ worth of car-centric programming. However, the fun starts early with August 8th-13th being Tune Up Week! A Tune Up Party will be held in a different city each day this week. Other Back to the Bricks programming includes:
Bricks Flicks, August 16th – a family-oriented party at the nostalgic US-23 Drive-In theater on Fenton Road.
Rolling Cruise, August 17th and 18th – a parade that will stretch from the historic “red bricks” of Saginaw Street in downtown Flint and continue through Burton and Grand Blanc.
Cruise N’ Concert, August 19th – Saginaw Street and the surrounding side streets will be closed to regular traffic at 5:00 PM in preparation for the huge free concert that will take place at 6:00 PM and feature opening act Badfinger and headliner Atlanta Rhythm Section.
Opening Ceremony, August 20th – 10:00am Saturday the Opening Ceremony kicks off with a salute to our veterans and active-duty personnel. There will also be a special display and tribute that includes a 4 plane Military Flyover.
