Here is a rundown of some of the festivities happening in Genesee County to celebrate our Nation’s 244th Independence Day!

FENTON
Friday, July 1st
7:00pm – Silver Lake Ski Show at Silver Lake Park

Monday, July 4
Fenton Freedom Festival. All events at the Community & Cultural Center & Gazebo area downtown.  More information HERE
7:00am – 10:00am – Pancake Breakfast (American Legion #38)
7:00am – 3:00pm – Arts, Crafts, Vendors
9:45am – 5k Race & Fun Run/Walk (applications at FentonLindenChamber.com)
10:00am – Parade (rain or shine)
11:00 am – Pig Roast BBQ (Boy Scouts Troop 212)
1:00 pm – Cruisin’ USA Line Dancers
12:30pm – Rubber Ducky Regatta (Rotary Club)
Free Children’s Games & Cardboard City Painting (Kiwanis Club)
Adopt-A-Pet of Fenton, Pony Rides, Petting Zoo
Snow Cones (Fenton United Methodist Church)
Lemonade & Popcorn (Fenton Lions Club)
Free Flags (Fenton VFW Post #3243 & Ladies Aux.)
10:00pm – Fireworks at Silver Lake Park (no parking in Silver Lake Park)

FLINT
Monday, July 4th
10:00am – 5:00pm Independence Day Celebration at Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad.  Games and prizes for the kids, card making for veterans, and ice cream social at 1pm.  More information HERE

2:00pm – 6:00pm Flint Water Festival Beats x Brunch Fest on the Flint City Hall’s back lawn.  More information HERE

5:00pm – 8:00pm Flint Car Cruise. Starting at Halo Burger 3388 S Linden Rd. Join them with your favorite collector car during their monthly car cruise. Enjoy giveaways, prizes, discounts to attendees & music on site by DJ Jim Landon. Each cruise helps support a local charity! More information HERE

Saturday, July 9th
7:00pm – Auto City Speedway Maximum Destruction Fireworks Night. Wear Red, White, and Blue to get $2 off General Admission.  Kids 12 and under free. More information HERE

GRAND BLANC
Monday, July 4th
Dusk – Fireworks at Lakeside Memorial Park.  Information HERE

SWARTZ CREEK
Monday, July 4th
6:00 – 10:00pm Food, Fun & Fireworks (New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene 8410 Linden Rd. Swartz Creek).  Family fun with a potluck BBQ, games, and Fireworks.  The church will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, fixings, and drinks.  Please bring a dish to share. More information HERE
